I am currently a graduate student at Appalachian State University where I am working to obtain my MA in English, concentrating in Teaching Literature and Writing, as well as a Graduate Certificate in Middle and Secondary Teaching, concentrating in Secondary English. Previously, I am a graduate of Appalachian State, earning a BA in Art and Visual Culture, concentrating in Studio Art and minoring in English. During my time at Appalachian State, I have served as an undergraduate Resident Assistant with University Housing and a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the University Writing Center. Currently, I will be stepping into a Graduate Teaching Faculty Associate/Instructor of Record role within the university's Department of English starting with the Fall 2025 academic semester.
          Outside of school, I am a fifteen-year (and counting) member of Scouting America, having attained the rank of Eagle Scout, where I stay involved as best I can in between school and work.
