I am currently a graduate student at Appalachian State University, where I am working to obtain my Master of Arts in English, concentrating in Teaching Literature and Writing. Prior to graduate studies, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Art and Visual Culture at App State, concentrating in Studio Art and minoring in English. Throughout my time at App State, I have served as an undergraduate Resident Assistant with University Housing and a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the University Writing Center, with plans to step into a Graduate Teaching Faculty Associate role in Fall 2025 with the university's Department of English.
Outside of school, I am a fifteen-year (and counting) member of Scouting America, formerly known as the Boy Scouts of America, where I have attained the rank of Eagle Scout and attempt to stay involved in between my classes and work schedules. Additionally, since 2016, I have been a member of the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's National Honor Society, where I have held numerous roles and was bestowed the Vigil Honor as a youth.
